Dwight Dolby, Teaching Elder

Pastor Dolby is originally from western Pennsylvania.  He attended Asbury College and went on to earn his M.Div at Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis.  He and his wife, Marcia, have four sons and one daughter, all between the ages of 10 and 17.  They have served at Auburn Road for 12 years.

Rodney Edwards, Ruling Elder

Rodney was born and raised in the Venice/Nokomis area and has been employed at Verizon Wireless since 1968.  He and his wife Debbie have been members at Auburn Road PCA since 1997. They have three children born approximately ten years apart and one grandchild. Their eldest daughter, Renee, and her husband Wayne are also members.

Joe Murray, Ruling Elder

Joe and his wife Jean began their life's journey in Philadelphia, PA where they were married in 1957. A few years later they settled in Pennsauken, NJ to raise one son and four daughters. Joe has been employed in several electronics manufacturing companies over those years but since 1998 has been retired in North Port, Florida. He and Jean joined with Auburn Road PCA in 2003.

Danny Blackburn, Deacon

Danny is a native of the Venice area and is retired from GTE/Verizon.  He and his wife, Cathy, have two sons.  Their eldest, Kory, has completed eight years of service in the U.S. Navy, is married, and now resides in Maryland.  Travis has completed eight years of service in the U.S. Army, including 14 months fighting the war in Iraq.  The Blackburns have been members of Auburn Road Presbyterian Church since 1995.

Norm Chaplin, Deacon

Norm originally hails from Boston, Massechusetts, and his wife, Jennie, was born in Queens, NY, and raised near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  He works as a remodeling contractor.  Their daughter, Michelle, is currently attending college.  The Chaplins have been serving as members for nine years.

Richard Gerdon, Deacon

Richard also has his earliest roots in the Venice Area.  He works locally as a building contractor.  He and his wife, Francine, have three children, two of which are grown.  Their son Gabe, who is married, continues to worship with his family at Auburn Road.  Their youngest son, Zeb, is 15.  They have been worshiping at the church for six years.
